Twenty Ten or is that Two Thousand and Ten?

Welcome to the new decade friends.  What happened to the last one?  Seems like it was just yesterday we were partying like it was 1999.

Anyhow, for those who are interested in finding out how our little old province faired over the last ten years, here is something that might interest you.  A group called the BC Progress Board has just produced its report on how our beautiful province compares to the rest of Cananda.

Here is the summary:

Where BC Ranks in Canada:

Economy 9th
Personal Income 3rd
Jobs 4th
Environmental Quality 1st
Health Outcomes 1st
Social Condition 8th

This study shows us some things we already knew...BC is the healthiest and greenest of them all.  But, it may surprise you to know that economic conditions not as good as they could be (yet we still have very good personal income).  As for social conditions, just think of all the work we desperately need to do in the Downtown East Side.
